TASchain Bi-Weekly Update 11.5 — 11.19

Here comes the second issue of our Bi-Weekly Update (11.5–11.19).

This week, alongside our R&D progress, we’ve added a section dedicated to project dynamics to share with the events and activities carried out in the past two weeks.

Remember: the Public Beta of TASchain will drop by the end of December, so don’t go away, we’ll be releasing more details in recent weeks.

R&D Progress

• Public beta to be launched by the end of Dec., and Block Explorer for the TestNet coming soon;
• Smart contract calling completed and now ready for constructing commercial dApps;
• Smart contract event mechanism completed with support for event subscription;
• Original GAS mechanism for the smart contract completed and successfully implemented on testing network;
• Tested the reward and punishment mechanism of the consensus algorithm against Non-At-Stake attack and Sybil attack;
• Established an economic incentive mechanism on the basis of labor, making TAS the first public blockchain to solve the Zombie problem under a grouped model;
• Finished the public beta of YunBlock project, which generated several million turnover during the test;
• Carried out closed test of a new version of public blockchain on multiple Aliyun nodes (a total of 1000+ nodes distributed in North, East and South China), which has operated stably for over a month with a block height of 200 million.

Project Dynamics

• Hosted the first TASOnCampus meet-up in Zhejiang University Yuquan Campus jointly with ZJU Bichacks and 8BTC, which focused on “2018 A Tech Breakthrough After the Blockchain Craze”;
• Engaged Feng Xingyuan, Professor of the Graduate School of Chinese Academy of Social Science, as our Token Economy advisor;
• Wu Yiqun, TASchain Founder and CEO, attended the 2018 HubPlus Summit in HK, and shared insights on the development of blockchain with Savio Kwan, former senior executive of Alibaba.
