5 Tips For An Effective Workday
How many times have you woken up in the morning and told yourself that you are going to have an amazing day?
How many times have you succeed in doing this?
Well, maybe you have the right mindset, but your planning is off!
This is true for so many of us. We have great intentions, but they all seem to fall flat on their faces when it comes to implementing them.
So, with this in mind, we have put together some of the best ways that you can try and manage your workday better, getting everything you need done.
Kickstart your day with a workout
It is no secret that exercise can really help to make sure that your body is ready to go. This is why it is recommended that you start your day with a workout.
It will wake you up, invigorate your body and get all those awesome “feel good” chemicals flowing so that you are ready to tackle whatever life throws at you.
Tackle the big problems first
You are much more likely to be fresh and alert at the beginning of the day. So, if you have a big task that you need to get done that you know will be tricky. Do it first!
Not only will your mind be ready to work it out, but it will also be out of the way, leaving you free to tackle all those other tasks.
Take advantage of your productive time
Find that you start to flag at 12? Need a couple of hours off to recharge and then carry on until early evening? If this works for you, them go for it. You know when you work best, so work around your own body clock.
Put together your to do list the night before
How much time do we waste of a morning, putting together our to do lists and prioritising things?
Why not sort this out the night before instead?
Not only will it save you some time in the morning, but you will also go to bed knowing what you need to get done the following day, making sure that you are focused as soon as you get up.
Try and call people in the morning
Need to wait for answers from other people before you can do a task?
Or perhaps you need to contact clients to discuss their needs?
Make sure you do this is the morning. If you don’t manage to catch them they have the rest of the day to contact you. In the meantime you can work on other tasks you have, as you wait for their call, so this time won’t be wasted.
Having a productive day is a mixture of being in the right mindset, and planning your time properly. Once you can achieve this all important balance, then you will be well on your way to getting plenty of tasks checked off your to do list by the end of the day.
