The feeling when you look up at the night sky is like no other. Whether a young child seeing it for the first time, a teenager up late, or a 90-year-old reminiscing over night skies gone past, developing an appreciation for the depth and span of space can open up worlds to those who look.

That is the inspiration for The Children Astronomy Observatory’s Astrocamp. The Korean educational organization uses astronomical observation facilities across the country to host science programs for children, adolescents, and the general public.

Young astronomers in the making

“We’re to help children and adults see the sky and peak their minds with curiosity by teaching them in a fun and engaging way. We want to convey vivid impressions, like when Galileo first saw moons around Jupiter or when scientists first saw other galaxies through the Hubble telescope.”

With 14 different locations, 93 teachers, more than 17,500 members, and more than 62,000 graduates — it’s a lot to keep track of to say the least. Jinhee says it was challenging for the Astrocamp team to control and align their work. They had no way to share schedules and timelines or a place to organize their tasks.

“To build organic teamwork, we needed an efficient scheduling tool.”

They tried several until coming upon Taskworld and say it’s intuitive and convenient design, task management tools, file sharing and planning features helped them to save time and resources, speed up productivity and manage team business more easily on the move.

Astrocamp’s workspace

“With Taskworld, we share work schedule between research labs and support teams. Schedule adjustments have been made according to the importance of the task and as a result, more efficient work has been carried out. Also, productivity improvements were achieved through personal schedule management.”

When asked about why she chose Taskworld over its competitors, Jinhee

“Taskworld is intuitive and has a much easier UX than others. We can upload large sized files and plan schedule for each team member. It also offers us excellent support in Korean.”

Astrocamp says it’s measurable results — 130 percent increase in productivity — has allowed the team to focus less on work and more on the mission of education. Because every task on the list is not just that — it’s a moment of discovery, a moment shared under the stars, and a brighter future across Korea and beyond.

“I would definitely recommend Taskworld — it is the best cooperation management tool.” — Jinhee Yu, Astrocamp
