We are excited to announce that Taskworld is now friends with your favorite file management cloud services. We have integrated our software with Google Drive and Dropbox, so you can easily attach and share files to any Taskworld task or conversation in chat.

How does it work?

Dropbox is a home on the cloud for photos, docs, videos, and files that is synced to all of your devices and accessible on the Dropbox website.

Google Drive is a file storage and synchronization service which enables cloud storage, file sharing and collaborative editing.

They both offer a fantastic way to manage documents however, if you would like to get more out of your files by organizing and aligning them with tasks and projects, use Taskworld to share Dropbox and GDrive files with colleagues.

In Tasks

There are two ways to attach Google Drive and Dropbox documents to a task inside of Taskworld.

  1. From Task Comments: Click on the task comments tab and select attach files (with the paperclip icon next to it). You will see a selection menu pop up. Select Dropbox/Google Drive. A new tab will open where you can log in to your Dropbox/Google account. Sign into your account and select the file you want to attach. The file will appear as a link in the task comments tab, and as a file preview under the files & links tab with a Dropbox/GDrive logo next to it.

2. From Task Files & Links: If you don’t need to comment on your file, you can simply attach it. Click on the files & links tab. Next, click on the teal drop down arrow next to the attach files button. Select Dropbox/Google Drive. A new tab will open where you can log in to your Dropbox/Google account. Sign into Dropbox/Google and select the file you want to attach. The file will appear under the files & links tab with a Dropbox/GDrive logo next to it.

*NOTE: Dropbox and Google Drive are already built into Taskworld, however you need to sign up for accounts with Dropbox/GDrive before you can access them from Taskworld. Dropbox and Google Drive permissions still apply, so make sure your colleagues have access to the documents in Dropbox and/or GDrive so they can access them from Taskworld.

In Chat Messages

You can also attach files from Dropbox or Google Drive from any Taskworld chat message. From a chat conversation, click on attach files and follow the same log in and file selection procedure.

If you have any questions about the integrations, feedback or ideas you would like to share, we would love to hear from you.
