Create your own Discord community loyalty program
In this post we’ll be showcasing all the new server economy & community loyalty systems coming to Tatsu (and by extension, your Discord server)
Loyalty Points System
If you’ve been watching the t!top leaderboards or assigning leveledroles in your server, you're already familiar with server score. With that, we have some small changes to make climbing the ranks more aesthetically appealing. However, a huge new addition in the update will be uses for what we previously called server points. When we implemented server points, we intended for it to become a server currency to spend on things like roles. With the new update, we're bringing that functionality and more with the loyalty points system.
In the next version, a new Discord community loyalty ecosystem consisting of a server store, economy customisation & role rewards will become available. Create a whole new loyalty ecosystem within your Discord community.
Use the new loyalty program features alongside the automated leveled role assignments to foster activity and growth on your Discord server.
In addition to new economy features, improvements have been made to existing loyalty features.
Here are some of the new customisations that servers will have access to:
- Change activity reward cooldown duration for both activity & currency
- Add custom icons for currency & activity metric
- Create custom activity ranking name
- Create custom economy currency
- Custom notifications for leveled roles (including embeds)
Server Items
Using the new item creator, create new community-only rewards & items for use in your server.
These server items currently support 3 actions:
- Role - Adds or removes a role when the item is used
- Accolade - A community-only badge equippable on the server’s t!rank card
- Generic - An item that posts a customizable message when used
Inventory
Each community member will have access to their own server-based inventory where they can manage and see their server items.
The inventory can be managed using commands & viewed with the web dashboard.
Community Reward Store
With the addition of server items, each Discord server using Tatsu will also have access to their very own community-only reward store. All types of server items can be listed on the community store for purchase.
Store listings come with a few main features:
- Set currency cost
- Limit amount of rewards available
- Customise the name, item descriptions & item key
New Top Ranking Display
We wanted to add more server customisation to the rankings panels so the t!top command has been updated.
In addition to a cleaner design, we added more community focused information to the command.
For those who prefer the traditional text-based top 10 rankings, we’ll be adding an option to toggle between both styles.
Server Page
Community Dashboard
All Discord servers on Tatsu will now have a server page where members can interact with community-related features such as the reward store & edit rank cards.
Modules & Configuration
Settings have also been moved to the server page to make it easier for administrators to access all the available configurations.
Almost all of the features have received new configuration options which are available from the community dashboard.
Post-launch Loyalty System Plans
We intend to build more features and improve the server community loyalty systems to help you to further grow your community. Expect many more updates focused on building our community-based engagement tools.
