February was another busy month at Tatum and an exciting one for the world of blockchain in general! We kicked off our Community Talks series with some insightful interviews with leading figures in blockchain and added support for Quorum, TRON, and Scrypta. Tatum is now officially part of the Blockchain Game Alliance, and we’ve put up some new tutorials to get you well on your way to blockchain mastery.

Introducing Community Talks

February saw the launch of our Community Talks series, where we’ll be talking with blockchain entrepreneurs and thought leaders from all corners of the globe.

We’ve kicked things off with two fintech masterminds from Africa, David Nandwa and Omolaja Abubakar. At just 19, David Nandwa already has a mountain of accomplishments under his belt, and his HoneyCoin project is making waves in the crypto world. His journey and outlook are fascinating, and he provides valuable insight into the lessons he’s learned from building a fintech startup, and the impact developers have on their code.

Omolaja Abubakar is a fintech entrepreneur who has worked his way through various financial institutions before joining the hugely successful Fluttervawe project. He dives into the impact of payment innovation in Africa and the importance of documentation in programming. We thoroughly enjoyed chatting with both of them, and we’d highly recommend having a look for yourself!

Tatum now supports Quorum, TRON, and Scrypta

We’re always adding support for new blockchains, and February saw three new additions to our line-up.

For developers looking to integrate a blockchain with enhanced enterprise privacy and performance features into their apps, look no further. Quorum is a private blockchain developed by J.P. Morgan and owned by ConsenSys, which is used to run the Interbank Information Network, a payments network of more than 300 banks. We have just launched initial support features, with more soon to come.

Our next addition is TRON, an ambitious project to decentralize the web and the world’s fastest-growing chain. With its scalability and highly effective smart contracts, TRON is ideal for deploying large-scale solutions to support enormous amounts of users. Check out our TRON API documentation to find out more!

We’ve also introduced support for Scrypta, a blockchain Italy that seeks to reduce corruption. Learn more about these blockchain bribery busters in this interview with Scrypta founder Sebastiano Catuado.

New tutorials

We believe good documentation is crucial to any platform, and we’re always updating and adding more tutorials to our website. In February, we added two more guides to get you up and running.

In How to build a crypto wallet in 30 min, we walk you through building a robust crypto wallet from start to finish. What has traditionally been a task for blockchain experts can now be done in just 30 minutes with Tatum. For complete newcomers to blockchain development, we’ve put together a walkthrough to help you create your first Bitcoin and Ethereum wallets.

Once you’ve finished these, be sure to check out all of our other how-to guides in docs.tatum.io.

We’ve got lots more in store for you in March, so stay tuned for more updates on our social media channels, and happy coding!
