Getting started with TAU Management System
TAU Management System is a web application that allows you to control, monitor and share access to charging stations. It’s free and requires no technical knowledge to use.
It’s best to get started if you already have a charging station, but if you don’t — no worries, you’ll be able to add a charging station later.
1. Create account
To create account in TAU Management System:
- Go to ms.tau.green/signup.
- Fill out the fields, submit the form and check your email. You should receive a confirmation letter.
- Click the verification link in the letter to complete the account creation process.
2. Add location
- Go to “Locations”.
- Click “Add new location”.
You’ll be asked to enter the public name of location and the address of the location. This information is public and will be used by drivers to find your charging location.
Tips:
1. Good name will help drivers to remember your location and return again.
2. Accurate address will make it easier to find your location.
3. Add station
- Go to “Locations”.
- Click on the location that you’ve just added.
- Click on “Add station” button.
4. Search for your charging station by model or manufacturer.
Note: If you can’t find model of your charging station — use “Create new model”. We will discuss the process of creation of new station model in detail in the future article.
5. After you’ve selected the model of your charging station you can either enter ID of your station or use a generated ID and press “Next”. Station will appear in “Stations” tab of your location.
6. This step may vary based on the model of your charging station, but the goal is to configure your charging station to communicate with TAU Charging Station Management System which is accessible at: wss://csms.tau.green
If the configuration was successful, after starting your station you should see it having green connectors in Management System. It means that connectors are “Available” and you have configured your station correctly.
That’s it. Now your charging location is visible on the map and drivers can come charge their vehicle and you can monitor and control your station remotely. You can also configure and customize your charging location, but we’ll cover this functionality in detail in another article.
