Amnesty International will be hosting a meeting to plan upcoming actions in opposition to President Donald Trump’s new travel ban this weekend in Tampa. The group is inviting members and supporters to attend the meeting Saturday (March 4) at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Tampa in the Small Dome from 9 to 11 AM.

In a media advisory the Nobel Peace Prize-winning organization said, “Amnesty International members and supporters in Florida are calling on Senators Rubio and Nelson to block the ban. We expect the new order to be just as dangerous, discriminatory and unlawful as the original, with implications set to tear families apart and create uncertainty for people across the world.”

The Unitarian Universalist Church of Tampa is located at 11400 Morris Bridge Ridge in Tampa, Florida.

For more information on the meeting contact Ebony Brickhouse at EBrickhouse@aiusa.org or visit the meeting’s FaceBook Event Page.
