It’s summer. We’re hybrid. We’re Lisbon-based. Charge your laptops because we’re going remote! This is our hybrid-friendly tour of Lisboa for all our hybrid friends looking for the best spots in town.

We tried all these spots out so you don’t have to ✌️

First up — completely and totally honest, the comms team decided to put up this challenge for our own benefit, ngl. Second, we decided to see how many different spots we could try out during the months of July and August and rate them according to a very-very scientific score. You’ll also find a small description and all the links we can find to each spot.

Go on, enjoy your hot hybrid summer, and remember to check out our Instagram highlights for a more visual experience of the hybrid tour:

Selina Secret Garden Lisbon

Hotel, Cowork and Café

Address: R. Fernandes Tomás 66, 1200–177 Lisboa

  • Location: 4/10
  • Snacks: 7/10
  • Internet: 10/10
  • Space: 10/10

Selina Secret Garden Lisbon was a highly anticipated spot for our Hybrid Tour, however, we recommend getting a hot desk for (12eur) instead of sitting at the bar for a better experience! Access wasn’t the easiest (there’s an entrance at Rua Fernandes Tomás, and an alleyway at Beco Carrasco) close to Rato and Baixa Chiado metro stations. The environment was good, with a loungy, groovy, funky playlist. Wi-fi and food were a yes, and we heard the lunch menu is worth a try!

Wel Well Center

Address: R. Marcos Portugal 18A, 1200–258 Lisboa

  • Location: 10/10
  • Snacks: 8/10
  • Internet: 9/10
  • Space: 8/10

The Wel Well Center is a wellness café, shop, and market in Príncipe Real. With an international environment, as it was founded by a Brazilian globetrotter, it’s great for hybrid workers on the go, looking for healthy food options with a touch of well-being. Access is super easy, coffee and snacks are delicious, and the internet and space are well worth a lunch and afternoon with your laptop and notebook.

El Corte Inglés Gourmet Experience (Rooftop)

Rooftop and foodcourt on Floor 7 of El Corte Inglés shopping centre

Address: Av. António Augusto de Aguiar 31, 1069–413 Lisboa

  • Location: 9/10
  • Snacks: 10/10
  • Internet: 10/10
  • Space: 9/10

The El Corte Inglés shopping centre has a great hybrid-friendly oasis on the 7th floor. The Gourmet Experience Rooftop offers you an amazing view over Lisbon city centre, busy Praça de Espanha and Avenida António Augusto Aguiar. Plus, it’s called Gourmet Experience for a reason; you can choose from some of Lisbon’s top chef’s restaurants in the food court, like Balcão by Chef Henrique Sá Pessoa, Tasca Chic by chef José Avillez, O Poke by Chef Kiko, and other gourmet options. We recommend sitting outside to enjoy the view, but if you’re running low on battery, there are a few outlets inside where you can power up — just beware of the possible loud lounge/club music on Friday afternoons.

Copenhagen Coffee Lab in Estrela environment, laptop, coffee, and green juice

Copenhagen Coffee Lab (Estrela)

Address: Av. Álvares Cabral 13C, 1250–015 Lisboa

  • Location: 10/10
  • Snacks: 10/10
  • Internet: 10/10
  • Space: 9/10

Copenhagen Coffee Lab has a number of different locations. This time we chose the Estrela spot, which is super easy access from the Rato metro station. The space is bright, fresh, and comfortable, with maybe a bit of a crazy playlist going on — which can be good for creativity, but maybe not great for focus. Snacks were delicious, and we would definitely return there for some hybrid work around town to end the day in Jardim da Estrela.

Cotidiano

Address: R. do Crucifixo 2, 1100–183 Lisboa

  • Location: 9/10
  • Snacks: 10/10
  • Internet: 10/10
  • Space: 9/10

Cotidiano was one of our favourites! Access is pretty easy, it’s in central Lisbon in the Chiado area, which means it can be a bit noisy because of the cars. Snacks and drinks were really good — we had a fantastic lemonade and a haloumi bagel. Internet was stable and fast (50mb), and the space itself was cozy with tables at a great height to work on a laptop.

Comoba pancakes, cinnamon roll, banana bread, and juices

Comoba

Address: Rua de S. Paulo 99, 1200–058 Lisboa

  • Location: 9/10
  • Snacks: 7/10
  • Internet: 10/10
  • Space: 10/10

Comoba is a hybrid-friendly space to snack, work and chill. You’ll find it with many other digital nomads typing away on their laptops, and they’ll soon open a bigger space in Lisbon. Up to now, you can find specialty coffee and healthy snacks, in a minimal and fresh environment. We’ll update this post soon when we visit the new Comoba space — we’re looking forward to it! The coffee was great, the snacks take a little acquired taste for the healthier sweets.

Amélia

Address: R. Ferreira Borges 101, 1350–128 Lisboa

  • Location: 7/10
  • Snacks: 10/10
  • Internet: 8/10
  • Space: 7/10

Amélia is one of Lisbon’s favourite brunch spots — which means one thing, for sure, it’s SUPER busy, which means it can get a bit noisy. Being a trendy and in-demand spot, laptops aren’t allowed between 12h00 and 15h30 or on weekends. It’s part of a group including Nicolau, Basílio, and Olívia. Access isn’t super easy since it’s in Campo de Ourique, but if you drive there, there’s a great parking lot in Pátio das Sedas.
