How do I manage jealousy in the heat of the moment?

Don’t sit alone with your thoughts.
Sharing your jealous feelings and urges with friends may bring you some much needed perspective fast.
Remember that jealousy will only put space between you and your partner.
There’s a high probability that you’re feeling jealous over something that you fear will put distance between you and your partner. But jealousy will only make that distance farther and wider. That’s exactly what you don’t want.
Take a break.
Develop your own personal system for jealous moments, so that you can reserve a convo for when you’re cooled down from the heat. Take a walk. Have a Snickers. Press pause.
Maybe…it’s all about you.
Jealousy can sometimes be a projection of discontentment with yourself. Before you start pointing fingers and acting out of insecurity, ask yourself, “Does this have to do with them or me?”
Sometimes, it’s not insecurity, it’s intuition.
Feeling jealous or insecure isn’t always a bad thing. Sometimes, it’s a sign that something is really wrong. Trusting yourself enough to follow a hunch and ask some questions may serve you right in the end.
