How to participate in the TC:ME x Fractal Championship?
A guide on how to play PvP Leagues and participate in the battle for 5,000 USDC TC:ME x Fractal Championship
Greetings Conquerors,
After a very successful #UltimateConqueror Tournament, we are SUPER excited to announce our next tournament. We have joined hands with Fractal to bring you an exciting PvP tournament! Participate in the TC:ME Fractal championship to lay claim to the 5000 USDC prize pool. Battle it out against players from across the world and go for glory.
Read through the guide to learn how to get started and participate in the championship! The Championship will run from March 16th 9AM to March 22 9AM UTC.
Getting Started
Download and Install the Game
TC:ME is available on mobile for Android and iOS devices. You can install the version for your device here.
Create a TC:ME account — it’s FREE!
Create an account with an email id and password. Do remember this email id as it’s used for wallet creation as well. TC:ME is free to get started. You don’t need to buy any expensive NFTs to play the game.
Create a Sequence Wallet account
Once you have created a TC:ME account, now you have to create a Sequence Wallet account. TC:ME uses your Sequence wallet to connect to the game as well as the chain. This is crucial for you to be able to tokenize all the assets within the game as well as use any on-chain functionality.
Note: Use the same registered email id to sign-up for Sequence, otherwise you will get an error while signing in. Sequence is not available in certain parts of the world. Please find a list here.
Create a Fractal Wallet Account
Once you’ve created a Sequence Wallet account, you need to create a Fractal Wallet account as well. This is crucial since you will not be entered into the championship unless you have a Fractal Wallet connected. You can connect both Wallets under the Wallet section from your Profile. The Fractal Connect Button becomes active once you sign in to Sequence.

Log into the Game
Login to the game using your registered email id and connect the Sequence & Fractal wallet. You will end up on the Squad selection screen. Now you are logged into the game.
Assets
There are 2 assets that you need to keep an eye on:
- Essence
- Crowns
Essence
Essence is an asset that you primarily receive while playing and winning matches in the Campaign mode. There are 150 levels in the Campaign mode. Each win in the Campaign mode will give you a certain amount of Essence. Gather as much Essence as you can by playing Campaign since it plays an important role later.
Crowns
The tournament is based on Crowns, so it’s important that you understand the keep a tab on your Crowns. Crowns are another asset in the game which you receive by winning matches in PvP > League. Remember that the more Crowns you earn during the tournament, the higher your position in the leaderboard. It’s as simple as that.
Cards
Cards are at the center of gameplay in TC:ME. Each of the characters available in the game are Cards. There are 12 playable characters across 2 factions. There are 3 different types of cards in TC:ME:
- Tower Cards
- Minions
- Hero NFTs
Tower Cards
There is one Tower Card each for both of the factions. The Towers are your last line of defense and the one you should defend as well in each battle. Tower Cards don’t get burned on usage.
Minions
Minion Cards are the smaller units in the squad apart from the Hero Cards. You need either one charge of one unit or a Hero NFT to play PvP mode. Unlike the Tower Cards and the Hero NFTs, these cards get burned on use. Meaning, if you have 50 Archers and you deploy 30 Archers in a match, you will only have 20 left after the match. All Minion Cards of the same unit have exactly the same stats, which takes away a lot of the guesswork. For eg: All Black Knights have the exact same stats.
Hero NFTs
Hero NFTs are the most powerful characters in your squad. They can quickly turn the tide of the battle your way if you have one in your squad. Unlike minions, Hero NFTs don’t get burned on usage. You can deploy your Hero NFT as many times as you want within a match. Hence, having a Hero NFT means you are in a much better position to win a match against your opponent. Hero NFTs each have a slightly different stat within a range. Visually they all look the same. You can also evolve your Hero NFTs in the future into much more powerful beings.
Now that you have learned about the assets in the game. Let’s answer that burning question.
How do you get cards to play?
Two ways:
1) You can buy Cards from the in-app store using your native currency or from the webstore using USDC: https://www.tcme.io/store
2) Play Campaign mode, get some essence and trade that essence for cards from the webstore. The Essence — Cards store pricing is dynamic and may vary from time to time.
You can also buy Hero NFTs from the webstore using USDC.
Now, let’s address some of the other questions that you may have:
- Do you need a Hero NFT to play PvP mode?
No. A Hero NFT is not absolutely necessary for you to get started in PvP. While having a Hero NFT would certainly help turn the tide of the battle, it’s not necessary for you to start playing PvP.
2. Do I need to buy any assets or NFTs to start playing?
No. TC:ME is a free-to-earn game which means there is zero barrier to entry. No expensive NFTs, no staking tokens. Just download the game and start playing.

TC:ME x Fractal Championship is our 2nd PvP Championship at TC:ME! A Prize Pool of 5,000 USDC awaits all the winners of this Championship.

How do you participate?
It’s simple. You can participate in the tournament by playing PvP > Leagues during the tournament period. The tournament is based on Crowns. The more Crowns you earn during the tournament period, the higher you will be on the leaderboard.
To earn more Crowns, you have to play and win PvP > Leagues matches where you will be pitted against other players from across the world.
Do I need to sign-up for the tournament?
You don’t need to sign-up anywhere extra to participate in the tournament. If you play PvP > Leagues during the tournament period, you are automatically entered into the tournament. Make sure you have Sequence & Fractal wallet connected to your account.
What prizes am I playing for?
TC:ME x Fractal Championship has a Prize Pool of 5,000 USDC. That’s 5,000 USDC, not 5K USDC worth tokens or NFTs. You are playing against other players for a slice of that prize pool. The top 3 winners get 600, 450 & 300 USDC each. Don’t worry if you are not in the Top 3 places. We have prizes all the way up to Top 200 players.
How can I see my place on the leaderboard?
There will be an in-app leaderboard that dynamically shows you the position that you are in the tournament. It’s a week-long tournament, so keep an eye out on your position and fend off other players and fight your way up the leaderboard.
