For my final game review I’ll be reviewing a popular and casual game called Stardew Valley. The game is farming simulator as you the player can play solo or co op with friends on an embarking adventure through the life of a person that recently inherited their family’s old farm. What makes this game special and fun is you don’t have to strictly farm. There’s festivals, relationships, combat, mining, exploring, fishing, and much more. It all sounds too good to be true for a video game. A game where you can live a whole separate life and the ai is completely living their own lives as well. Although the additional activities and options to play the game sound fun, farming is the addictive factor in the game that keeps many people playing it for hours.

The game has many positives to it, but like most games there are flaws. One thing that many new players struggle with is the tough grind to get money, relationships, and items. I don’t have nearly as many hours in the game as most Stardew Valley players do, but even with fifteen hours in I barely feel like I’ve done anything. This can also be a positive flaw for most players since you can view it as a rich gameplay. There’s a lot of content that activities that you can do and essentially this game will never end no matter how many hours you put in. Since you can restart as a new character and go down different paths, have closer relationships with different people, etc.

Although there are many games similar to Stardew Valley, this game is still really unique on its own. If you’re looking to waste some time in a relaxing way then I highly recommend playing Stardew Valley.
