TCO Labs is thrilled to announce that April is Innovation Month at Johns Hopkins University!

April is one of the busiest months on campus, and this year it will host half a dozen innovation-related events. From annual conferences to hands-on workshops, there is something for everyone interested in entrepreneurship.

April 4th — Social Entrepreneurship Panel
6–7:30pm, AMR 1 MPR
Hosted by TCO Labs, Inc.

Interested in getting involved in Social Entrepreneurship? With a theme of Bringing Baltimore Together, this panel showcases different ways in which Baltimore entrepreneurs have created sustainable organizations with real social impact. Panelists include Brittany Young, founder of B360; JJ Reidy, founder of Urban Pastoral, and Kate Khatib, founder of Red Emma’s.

April 8th — Hatch Innovation Conference
12pm-4pm, Mudd Hall, Homewood Campus
Hosted by TCO Labs, Inc.

The Hatch Innovation Conference is the largest celebration of entrepreneurship at the Johns Hopkins Homewood Campus! Featuring Max Dorwin, the CMO of Boxed, as the keynote speaker, two workshops, and a Startup Alley featuring over 30 Hopkins & Baltimore Startups, attendees get the chance to network with prominent entrepreneurs, learn about ventures being built right here at Hopkins, and enjoy food and drink courtesy of Boxed

April 15th- CBID Healthcare Design Competition
All day, Location TBA
Hosted by Center for Bioengineering Innovation and Design

Join CBID and Boston Scientific for the final rounds of the annual Johns Hopkins Healthcare Design Competition! Medical innovation teams from top universities around the world will present their devices in an attempt to win cash prizes, while attendees enjoy food, networking, and the chance to vote on the People’s Favorite Award.

April 27th: Johns Hopkins Business Plan Competition
Semi-Final presentations 9:30am-12pm, Final-Round presentations 1:30pm-4pm, Charles Commons Salons
Hosted by Center for Leadership Education

Join the Center for Leadership Education for the final round of the annual Johns Hopkins Business Plan Competition! Come support Hopkins student entrepreneurs as they compete for cash prizes up to $10,000 in four tracks: Mobile Applications, Medical Technology & Life Sciences, Social Enterprise, and General Business. Semi-Final presentations from 9:30am-12pm, Final-Round presentations from 1:30pm-4pm

April 27th: DREAMS
1–4pm, Goldfarb Gym, Homewood Campus
Hosted by Hopkins Office for Undergraduate Research

DREAMS is Johns Hopkins’ annual celebration of undergraduate research, scholarly pursuits, and creative projects of all forms. Undergraduate students from all departments present their work in a poster and live presentation format to Hopkins students, faculty, staff, and alumni.

Entrepreneur Dinner with the Alumni Student Ambassadors
Ever wondered what is was really like to be a serial entrepreneur? Join Alumni Student Ambassadors for their annual Entrepreneur Industry Dinner. where Hopkins Alumni will enjoy a private dinner with students at the Johns Hopkins Club, answering their questions and giving them advice on how to pursue their ideas after Hopkins.

I Have a Startup Idea — Now What? Workshop
Have an idea for a startup, but not sure what to do next? Join TCO Labs and alumni Jordan Matelsky, cofounder of FitMango, for this workshop that shows you the rope of launching a venture at Hopkins, tells you the ins-and-outs of being a student entrepreneur, and teaches you how to continue with your idea after graduation.
