#activateBOS: Liquor Licensing Recap for the Week of 2.29.16 to 3.4.16

At this week’s City of Boston Liquor Licensing hearings that took place on Wednesday, 3.2.16, two new applications were listed on the agenda.

On 3.2.16, Tarita Charoenveskangkul dba Twelve Hours located at #559 Washington Street Brighton, MA 02135. They applied for a common Victualler 7 day malt (beer) and wine license.

On 3.3.16, the Board rejected the application because the owner of the restaurant, Tarita Charoenveskyangkul, who is not a US citizen was also applying as the manager and in order to obtain a license one of the founding requirements is the that the manager be a US citizen and resident of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

On 3.2.16, Jovenil Batista Cristo dba Theo’s Cozy Corner located at 162 Salem St. North End applied for a Common Victualler 7 Day Malt & Wine License LB — 156015 for a license requesting a 7 Day Malt and Wine license (LB — 156015) On 3.3.16, They were “granted a license but deferred” because there are “None Available at this time.”

Previous History for the applicant is as follows : 10.21.15 (Initial Hearing) LB-156015 | 10.22.15 Executive Hearing (Have not done proper community process; Board Stated that no licenses are available) | 12.17.15: Rejected w/out prejudice (Noting no licenses are available)

On 3.3.16, The board pulled the application of 749 EB LLC — located at 749 Broadway in South Boston as ‘old business.’ Their application was again pulled and rejected w/out prejudice
