#activateBOS: Liquor Licensing Updates : 3.30.16 and 3.31.16

There were no new applicants that appeared on the agenda for liquor licensing in any restaurant establishments in the public hearing held on 3.30.16.

On 3.31.16, the Board pulled Jovenil Batista Cristo dba Theo’s Cozy Corner located at 162 Salem Street in the North End. The board noted that upon the ABCC granting a nonrestricted full alcohol license to a recent applicant who was a previous holder of a beer and wine license. That beer and wine license was returned to the city/state for redistribution.

Here is the recent history of Theo’s Cozy Corner and their application: 10.21.15 (Initial Hearing) | 10.22.15 (Executive Hearing): Have not done proper community process; Board Stated that no licenses are available | 12.17.15: Rejected w/out prejudice (Noting no licenses are available) : 3.15.16 Submitted a new applicaiton LB — 156015 for a licenses requesting a 7 Day Malt and Wine license. On 3.16.16, They were “granted a license but deferred” because there are “None Available” at that time.
