The state legislative committee, the Joint Committee on Tourism, Arts, Cultural Development, has its next “Listening Tour” stop with a public hearing scheduled in Quincy for Monday, March 21, at the Adams National Historic Park Carriage House, located at 135 Adams Street, from 9am to 12pm. Email RSVPs are encouraged info@discoverquincy.com. The event is free and open to the public.

This Joint Committee is Co-Chaired by Senator Eric Lesser of Longmeadow and Representative Cory Atkins of Concord and the Committee is tasked to put forth legislation, public policies, and spending priorities that advance the Commonwealth’s cultural and tourism sectors. MALC works closely with this Committee on policy matters and also on our Annual Artists Under the Dome event at the State House.

Come and tell your story of how public funding is critical for our sector and how policies that support artists of all disciplines, the arts, humanities, tourism, and the creative economy are important to you, our communities, and the Commonwealth. All are encouraged to come!
