Happy 2014!
The days between Christmas and New Year’s are always a little odd. They are mixed with the excitement and anticipation of a fresh start, all the while reminding you of everything that you didn’t achieve.
For me, the last few weeks has been an amazing line up of new experiences — snow, skiing, squirrel sightings and a new hat. What a way to top off an already fantastic year!
And there’s one last treat — setting off fireworks in the street. To the rest of the world it may be commonplace, but to those who call the conservative nanny states of the Land Down Under home, it’s somewhat of a novelty.
