Targeting customers based on web page visits is a critical component of an effective marketing strategy.

At ATD, we have sophisticated systems to know who are the visitors of our pages. Now, we don’t easily have a way to pull these lists and create a marketing campaigns.

Marketing managers had to pull lists from dashboards, export them to Excel files and import them into Bronto, our EMS.

These days are over!

Introducing the TDx Bronto List Creator.

The system is really simple. You start by defining your condition: OR or AND. Do you want people who visited a certain Book Page AND the Annual Conference or visited one OR the other? If you’re looking at only one specific URL, the filter is irrelevant.

Now, we may want to track people who visited an Education Course webpage more than 3 times in 2 weeks. That shows their highly interested. Easy to do that. Just set the With at least [ 3 ] page views and the Start and End dates.

Adding URLs: just copy + paste them and click the “add” button

Clicking on “Calculate” won’t create anything in Bronto. It just gives you an idea of the number of emails that may end up on your list:

An OR filter scenario

Same pages, but now using a an AND filter:

And filter condition

We do support URLs using the regular syntax but also Coremetrics name. In addition, we added support for wildcards, so you can easily target all blog posts within a certain blog.

Now, you’ve done your work, added URLs and you’re ready to create a list. Simply give a name, and click the Create button!

And you should have your list ready!

Notice quantities may not match exactly due to opt-outs.

ATD Staff Emails are being excluded from this process already.

Finally, it’s important to keep using exclusion lists.
