Just two months after Auchan Portugal implemented TE-FOOD for fresh salad, the project continues with melon products.

Auchan operates over 4000 retail locations, and employs over 350 000 people around the world. The retail group is in the forefront of the blockchain based transparency movement in the food industry, constantly involving new countries and products into its traceability efforts.

Auchan Portugal aims to track and trace all products in its Controlled Production product line by the end of 2022.

Shopping for locally produced, good quality, health-conscious food products has been one of the most significant trends in the food industry during the recent years. Traceability complements this trend well, by providing transparency for the consumers. Auchan takes a leading role in this transparency movement amongst the international retail chains.

TE-FOOD is the world’s largest publicly accessible, farm-to-table food traceability solution. Started in 2016, it serves 6000+ business customers, and handles 400,000 business transactions each day.
