RFID tags are widely used for traceability in developed countries, because they are much easier to read than QR code based tags. However, their price is a huge disadvantage, and makes them affordable only for larger animals (usually cattles), which live longer.

In most cases, RFID tags are too expensive for emerging markets, but some farmers are demanding it. Until now we used tags from suppliers, but now we provide our own branded RFID tags.
