TERRA, the leading Food and Agriculture Accelerator’s program brings together large corporations and startups to build cooperation opportunities. Food and AgTech tartups can apply, and after more rounds of selection, the partner corporations decide with which startups they want to start pilot projects.

Partner corporations of this particular program are: AgroFresh, Beta San Miguel, GrainCorp, Griffith Foods, Grupo Azucarero Mexico/CULTIBA, Nestlé USA, OSI and Tate & Lyle.

After assessing hundreds of applications, they shortlisted 160 startups to pitch their ideas, finally selecting 17 to start pilot projects. TE-FOOD is one of the 17 selected applicants, as the only German company.

The pilot in which TE-FOOD takes part is not public until it’s realized, but we can share that it will be a very interesting use case, something nobody has ever done before.

So stay tuned, we will publish the results within 4–6 months.

TERRA — a joint organization of Rabobank and RocketSpace — does not require equity from startups. They must have a product in market/ready to launch and have raised a minimum of seed-funding, better positioning them for productive pilots with collaborators.

TE-FOOD is the world’s largest publicly accessible, farm-to-table fresh food traceability solution. Started in 2016, it serves 6000+ business customers, and handles 400,000 business transactions each day.
