Ho Chi Minh City University of Food Industry (HUFI) and TE-FOOD signed a partnership agreement to improve the technological knowledge of the future food industry professionals, and the advancement of modern agricultural technologies in Vietnam.

HUFI (established in 1982) is a large scale multi-disciplinary university with nearly 20,000 students and 700 academic staff members.

The cooperation has two purposes:

  • Organizing future training sessions about bockchain based food supply chain traceability for the university students.
  • Jointly support for Vietnamese provinces and cities to implement the TE-FOOD’s Livestock Management and Epidemic Control system.

The cooperation provides up-to-date knowledge for the students about the concept of food traceability, and the technologies which can help in achieving it (primarily blockchain technology). At the same time, it brings TE-FOOD’s brand and concept closer to the food industry’s future professionals.

The second purpose provides academic support for TE-FOOD in the effort of implementing its Livestock Management and Epidemic Control system in Vietnam. Currently, implementations of the system have beeen started in Dong Nai province (the biggest swine breeding province in Vietnam), and Can Tho City (one of the most important business centers in the Mekong Delta provinces).

TE-FOOD is the world’s largest publicly accessible, farm-to-table food traceability solution. Started in 2016, it serves 6000+ business customers, and handles 400,000 business transactions each day.
