Last time we talked about a complicated process refers to the importance of the event. However, today we have a similar idiom but back to daily life.

The idiom today is:

三茶六飯"

to serve 3 times of tea and six meals are provided

The beginning is the same as previous idiom “the serve 3 times of tea” but the later words “to provide six meals” refers to the portion of one meal is quite a lot as six. This is saying that the guest been treated with a very passionate hospitality with rich dishes. No matter the host is wealthy or poor, to provide as much food ( and tea of course) as they can to a guest is the most hospitality way to show their sincere welcome of the visit.
