We are so Afraid to Live

We are afraid not to pass the exam, not to enter a prestigious university, not to become the pride of our parents.

We are afraid to dye our hair in bright colors.

We are afraid not to meet someone’s expectations by doing what we sincerely want.

We are afraid to dance on the streets near the musicians, sing along with our native tracks in a fake voice, and seem strange.

We are afraid to meet someone «too cool» for us, we are afraid to invite an interesting person for a walk, we are afraid to be annoying.

We are afraid to first buy the unusual clothes we like, then put them on, and then get dirty.

We are afraid not to fit into the team, to become an outcast, to be different from others.

We are afraid of not liking or liking too much.

We are afraid to allow ourselves an extra cocktail, a slice of cake, a day of rest.

We are afraid to paint our eyebrows in an ugly way or not to paint them at all.

We are afraid to burst into tears on public transport.

We are afraid to show others the fruits of our creations.

We are afraid to talk about our preferences because of possible condemnation.
