This is the flowerbed at the back wall of my garden. My seating area is here, we drink coffee or other types of drink here. I love the blues of the Nigella and the campanula that creeps up the wall. It’s not easily seen as the jasmine is in the way from this angle.

The area to the right was full of lovely blue flowering wild plants. Previously, it had just dotted itself around the garden and could be kept under control fairly easily. This year, to my dismay, it took over the area that now has reddish slabs laid over it. We pulled as much we could and cut the rest at ground level. Then M. laid the slabs over. I hoping that the roots will die away. If this works, I’m considering putting a small pond here. I took the photo before we tidied up.

This is back down by the table and seats. I spotted some lovely blue flowers trailing from the huge pot that my rambling rose is growing in. This photo has changed the color. On the right, you…
