These are Mallards. They are a breed of ducks. The UK has many breeds of ducks. I see these most often.

We have Sand Lizards. We actually have many types of lizard. I spent many summer afternoons lying on the grass watching a family of lizards. They lived in a tunnel between rocks which formed a holding wall. They would bask in the sun on some concrete which was part of our neighbors badly rendered garage.

A wren nest building. They are tiny birds but easily identified by their upturned tail feathers. In the UK, it is against the law to trim hedges between March and September as nests are built and young are reared.

This is the lava of red tailed moths. We have so many moths around the harbor and they live in my garden too. I have not yet identified any in my garden. When…
