The Monarchs have returned to the California coast

I drove down to the monarch butterfly sanctuary in Natural Bridges Park.

I crossed my fingers it would be better this year. I heard stories that the counts had gone up. This time last November the count at the Santa Cruz, California sanctuary stood at a meager 550 monarchs., but looked more like a handful.
