November 18, 2013 Reflection
These pictures were taken during our Time vs. Distance lab.
This is so relevant for both myself and my kids this year.
As of this weekend, I have finished my 4th week as a 7th Grade Science Teacher in the Delta.
For realsies.
Love me some cheesy clip art. Please take a moment to appreciate the above image.
The past two months were two of the most challenging and rewarding two months of my life.
I would like to apologize to all the teachers I’ve ever annoyed.
If I could summarize the Delta in three words so far they would be corn, cotton, and catfish.
The past 30 hours have been phenomenal. I’ve met 200 amazing new friends and was inducted as an honorary Mississippian.
Day 3 of the road trip: corn… corn, everywhere. Today my dad and I are traversing the Nebraskan countryside on our way to Lincoln.
On April 20, 2013, I formally accepted Teach for America’s invitation to join the 2013 Mississippi Delta Corps.
Teach for America has no stories yet.
