Teachable ERG Member Spotlight: Naomi Tenenini
Want to get to know the Teachable team? You’ve come to the right place. We’re spotlighting our amazing teammates and discussing how the employee resource group they’re in makes an impact on their day-to-day experience at Teachable, who their favorite Teachable creator is, and more.
What’s your name & role at Teachable?
I’m Naomi Tenenini (they/them), and I’m a Product Designer!
What does being part of the Teachaqueers ERG mean to you?
Being part of Teachaqueers means that I’m supported and seen. I have a community at work that I can rely on to be there for me and rally around queer issues and celebrate queer wins. When I started at Teachable I was amazed that there was even a queer ERG at all! It made me feel like I absolutely made the right decision coming to work here and I still do!
How has the ERG impacted your time at Teachable?
Teachaqueers has made my time at Teachable more communal (especially in these remote times). I feel like I have a place I can belong and be understood here.
What’s something you’re really proud of in the ERG?
I’m really proud of the community that has been built. Whenever a new member joins we all celebrate them and that is so essential to making it feel like a place where we can belong.
Who is your favorite Teachable creator currently? Alternatively, is there anyone you think would be a great Teachable creator?
Tori Dunlap (Her First $100k) is great. I would love to partner with the Answers in Progress team for something too!
