For pre-school and elementary teachers

During at-home learning, I quickly realized how many high-quality educational videos and channels exist for elementary students.

Smart Board Cliparts #2912052

I don’t heavily rely on videos when teaching, however, I’ve found a few YouTube channels that really bolster students’ understanding without taking too much time (these are not affiliated sponsorships, just my favorites).

I also love putting on a quick video/song as students transition from their tables to the carpet. Playing a quick video offers them a way to transition without a dreadful and stressful countdown because they know (have learned) to be finished transitioning by the song's end.

Here are a few of my students’ favorites.

Scratch Garden — “The Vowel Song”

Scratch Garden makes a few videos that I really love, as do my students. There’s one that succinctly goes over short and long vowel sounds, “The Vowel Song”. I find that my ELL students have difficulties distinguishing short /e/ and /i/ and this video always comes in handy for a quick review.
