When most of us think of March, basketball is one of the first things that comes to mind. As a proud Terrapin alumnus, I can say without a doubt that I always enjoy watching March Madness games — especially when my Terps play well.

But this March, my focus is going to be very different. This March, my calendar is full of presenting at some amazing conferences across the country. With so many conferences available at our fingertips this year, it can be overwhelming to figure out which to attend. So for my Valentine’s gift to all of you, I present a virtual learning road trip across the country. Get your virtual travel gear ready and join me at one or all of these incredible professional development opportunities this month.

NCTIES: March 4–6

Get ready to begin the road trip in virtual North Carolina.

NCTIES begins on March 4th and continues through March 6th. This year is their 50th anniversary and if you purchase a $15 NCTIES membership, you receive a one-year membership and registration for this conference. This is really an incredible value. It includes two days of concurrent sessions and keynotes by George Couros and Dee Lanier.

My two sessions will be held on Thursday, March 4th at 6 PM (Amplifying Thinking Routines Using Technology Tools) and Friday, March 5th at 7 PM (Empowering Student Voice Using Technology Tools).

Join me by registering here: https://conference.ncties.org/2021/registration/.

NJeCC: March 9–10

Continue the learning and travel to virtual New Jersey when NJeCC happens a few days later. Although NJeCC is a little pricier than NCTIES (between $95-$195, depending on what options you choose), it is full of some amazing content.

March 9 begins with a keynote by Carla Jefferson and then features amazing 60 minutes concurrent sessions from 11:15 AM-3:45 PM. March 10 starts with a keynote by Richard Hayzler and then includes 90-minute workshop sessions.

Included in these workshops, I will be presenting for the FIRST time, workshop versions of my Amplifying Thinking Routines with Technology Tools at 12:35 PM and Empowering Student Voice with Technology Tools at 2:35 PM. These hands-on sessions offer all of us a deeper dive into areas of interest.

EdTech RVA: March 9th-11th

Get back on the road and travel south as Virginia joins the online learning conference party with their EdTechRVA conference. This conference happens each night from 4–6 PM and you can attend all three days for only $20. per person. This includes over 50 breakout sessions and they all happen after school.

I am excited to be presenting Amplifying Thinking Routines with Technology Tools here at 4:45 PM on March 11th. To register for this conference, check out their website: https://events.vstereg.org/events/edtechrva-2021/

WoCo Tech Summit: March 13th

Take a quick stop in Maryland afterward and enjoy a Saturday morning of FREE professional development a few days later. There are so many options to learn about and get all that learning done before noon. My session on Amplifying Thinking Routines using Technology Tools is just one of the amazing sessions being offered. To register, check out their website: https://www.wocotechsummit.com/registration

UCET Conference: March 20th

Go west and take the next virtual trip to Utah. The UCET conference is the following weekend, Saturday, March 20th and is a bargain at just $25.00. There are so many amazing sessions offered, plus both of their keynotes feature impressive young speakers who will inspire you.

I am really looking forward to these sessions including my two presentations on Amplifying Thinking Routines with Technology Tools at 11:00 and Empowering Student Voice using Technology Tools at 12 noon.

End the month with a premier virtual celebration of learning and finish your virtual trip out west. Spring CUE offers ten days of virtual learning with so many amazing speakers: Jennifer Gonzales, Jake Miller, Tony Vincent, and many more.

It is going to be incredible and I am so honored to get a chance to present my session on Amplifying Thinking Routines using Technology Tools on March 25th at 9 PM EST. The conference is only $179.00 for almost 2 weeks of content.

Can’t wait to get this virtual road trip started…

If you are like me and can’t wait to get this virtual road trip started, tailgate with me before the road trip at these amazing virtual learning options to bid February adieu.

Then, on Saturday, there are two FREE amazing opportunities to learn. EdCamp MA Leads starts at 8:15 AM EST and gives you an opportunity to learn with educators from around New England. Then, travel across the country afterward (take advantage of PST) and join CAPCUE Survivor at 11:30 AM EST (8:30 PST).

I am so excited about this. I am premiering two BRAND NEW sessions: Creating with Littles and TRANSFORM: Techy Notes to Make Learning Sticky. Sessions are held at 1 PM and 2 PM, so you can join after EdCamp MA Leads concludes.

The second session is a preview of my upcoming book being published by Road to Awesome this spring: http://bit.ly/Survivorregistration

Well, I am all ready and packed to go on a professional learning adventure, are you? I love how easy it is to pack for these kinds of road trips.

With so many amazing learning opportunities in March, there is more than enough to choose from. Find one that meets your budget, time constraints, and interests. Choose just one or choose them all, but don’t miss this opportunity to learn from anywhere and in many instances, at any time. Plus, connect with educators from across the country and the world. We are all experiencing similar situations. Be #bettertogether.

Definitely check out these opportunities and let me know which ones you are thinking about attending. I would love to see you on my virtual March professional learning trip.
