How you could win a Node Chair during our Collaboration to reimagine professional development.

Teachers who are daring to design on The Teachers Guild know that good ideas become awesome ideas thanks to collaboration and teamwork, and that building on the ideas of others is critical to the design process. Our friends and partners at One Workplace believe in the importance of these soft-skills too. In fact, they’re so excited about teacher collaboration that they’re partnering with us to give away the first-ever Node Chair Award!

The teacher who goes above and beyond during our current Collaboration to make the ideas of others even better will receive a fully customized Node Chair that they can design based on their own classroom needs! As part of this contest, we will look both at the quality of feedback as well as the quantity during the Ideate and Evolve phases. So jump in to the Collaboration today and join a team, comment on other teachers’ ideas, and start collaborating!

Watch Trevor from One Workplace explain more, and find out other details below:

One teacher, who consistently supports their peers on The Teachers Guild during Ideate and Evolve by growing and refining ideas, will be awarded a Node Chair for their classroom. The Node Chair was designed to help make classrooms more collaborative spaces, allowing students to pull up next to one another more effortlessly. We know that building on the ideas of others is essential to each phase of the design thinking process, and the Node Chair perfectly embodies that ideal.

Here’s how you enter for your chance to win the Node Chair! Any K-12 teacher in the U.S. who participates in our current Collaboration during the Ideate and Evolve phases is eligible for the award. You may participate as often as you wish between the Ideate and Evolve phases, and no purchase is necessary to enter.

One Workplace and The Teachers Guild will look for a teacher who has gone above and beyond in helping the ideas of others become even better. Then after the Collaboration ends, we’ll notify the winner by email. The criteria we will rely on and indicators we will look for are:

  • Commenting within both Ideate and Evolve
  • Teamwork and collaboration within Google Docs or other platforms where content is developed
  • Testing and prototyping ideas in classrooms and offering follow-up feedback

Learn more about how to form teams in our new Medium post.

Good luck, and we’ll see you on The Teachers Guild! (Also, check out the fine print below for even more details)

Additional details on the Node Chair Award: No purchase is necessary to enter. This contest is open to all K-12 U.S. users of The Teachers Guild during the Collaboration to reimagine professional learning.
