Background:
This collection initially grew by default of being the first one focused on learning and education, and having been among Medium’s early featured collections (remember the tiled-design collections page?).
I never intended to purposefully curate a collection. In the early version of Medium, I saw a void amid so many web, design, and technology-related posts and collections, so I acted to fill it. I gradually accepted a sense of responsibility — and some pride — for its relevance and quality. Thus I’d like to continue developing this collection into a publication worth reading, with contributions from education writers and others with ideas and stories to share about teaching, learning, and education.
Be a Writer:
Please consider the following if you’d like to be added as a writer for this collection, and thus to submit posts:
- I aim to add to this collection relevant, thoughtful, and authentic stories, opinions, essays, journalistic pieces, letters, and other creative works as they relate to teaching, learning, and education, formally and informally.
- I hesitate to add advertorials, but some make it into the collection.
- Please proofread before submitting posts.
- Cross-posting from your own site is accepted, so long as you share the entire post and your cross-link statement is at the bottom of your Medium post.
- Email me—hi at shawnwhite dot us—to request to be added as a writer. Share a link to a post you’d like to add, or to other examples of relevant writing. If you’re unsure of quality or relevance, email anyway.
- Once added as a writer, submit your post to then be accepted.
