Round one done and a thousand answered prayers

We are waiting to be discharged from the hospital and have one happy and funny chemo girl!

Carson did AMAZING yesterday after a very early and quick surgery for her magic button (port). We then moved floors later that day and got her first round of chemo last night.

A child life specialist taught her about her port by using this funny robot duck and Carson has named her tube coming from her port “Nothing.” Makes for some very funny conversations…. “Don’t pull on Nothing.” “Nothing is about to get hooked up to some new meds.”

We’ve met a new batch of nurses and doctors now that we’ve hit up 2 new floors and they have all been so fun and fantastic. Carson has been nicknamed The Queen and even had a hand drawn sign to welcome her when we got to her room Wednesday evening. We are so thankful to have this hospital and be back to our ocean views.

We feel held up by the prayers surrounding us- it’s hard to describe. We may find more words later but thank you for praying- it means the world and the Lord continues to be more present than ever.
