What comes to your mind upon hearing the term ‘chatbot’?
Most of the people in the technological world have a vague idea what a chatbot is: A software that acts as a human and assists us in common tasks like ordering a pizza or buying new shoes, through familiar chat platforms. Although they are partly correct, that’s not all a chatbot does. Granted, they can help customers in most of such chores (planning a movie, or gifting a friend), they have a completely different world in the B2B sector. Chatbots have a lot of potential in assisting offices and businesses in various tasks, thus saving money and time efficiently.

A chatbot works very well on a chat platform, so the obvious question arises: Where can one find most of the offices and teams communicating?
I believe the current leader in workplace communication is Slack. Its simple, efficient and makes teams productive along with basic collaboration. And with the recent $80 million pledge to bot startups, Slack is encouraging developers to create and deploy chatbots on their platform.

With this idea of assisting teams on Slack and exploring various possibilities in the B2B sector, a lot of interesting bots have come with some great solutions. Here are some of them:

Engazify Bot

Engazify Bot: Working

Does a “Great work! Keep it up!” from your teammate give you the motivation to work even harder? Feels good to be appreciated, isn’t it?
Co-founded by Siddharth Shekhawat, Engazify Bot is a faster and better way to appreciate your teammates, capture all your team wins, and save it for everyone to see. Engazify bot fosters a culture of peer recognition and celebration by gamifying the whole experience.
You can chat with him just like another friend in your team. You can ask questions, give feedback, or just start an interesting conversation.

Howdy

Think of Howdy as your digital coworker! Do your job better, faster and more reliably by automating common tasks, starting with meetings.
Howdy works along side you at work and participates in the day to day activities of your company as an active member of the team. It can check-in with the whole team to review progress, receive scheduled reports from your team, or can be trained to ask custom questions the answers to which are delivered as a report. Created by Ben Brown’s XOXCO.

Ace

Ace is an intelligent task manager in Slack. Helps you and your team manage daily todo’s and action items more efficiently. Add new tasks, list out your open tasks, close tasks on the go or assign tasks to your teammates.

Statsbot

A Slack bot to keep your team informed about metrics. Statsbot will change your notion of team work with analytics tools. It integrates with Google Analytics, New Relic, Mixpanel and sends different metrics right into your Slack. Founded by Artyom Keydunov.

Meekan

A time scheduler that matches everyone’s calendars in seconds. Founded by Lior Yavor and Matty Mariansky, Meekan is a great scheduling robot which helps to organize corporate meetings and plans. When building a working calendar within the team, Meekan keeps in mind a to-do list of each employee and their time zones. The bot also makes it easy to reorganize the list of cases, taking into account the wishes of each. Rescheduling is no problem.

There are lot many areas in the B2B space that are still unexplored. The opportunities are endless: Be it HR (employee recruitment or payroll management) or Marketing (Social Media Marketing analysis or Handling potential customer base), or Customer Engagement, but with the growing bot community it seems it will not take much time to reach and automate every little area in this sector.
