Kirsten completes marathon eighth New Hampshire visit

Kirsten rolls out plan to restore our democracy, on week-long Fourth of July trip

--

On her 8th visit to New Hampshire, Senator Kirsten Gillibrand completed a marathon 7-day trip with stops in all 10 of New Hampshire’s counties and met with thousands of Granite State voters during town halls, meet & greets, and two Fourth of July Parades.

On Independence Day, Kirsten also rolled out her plan to protect our democracy and tackle corruption in Washington. As the candidate with the most comprehensive plan to install public elections, Gillibrand participated in an Equal Citizens’ Democracy Town Hall and marched in the annual Granny D Walk.

Over the course of the week, Kirsten also prepared meals at the Claremont Soup Kitchen, toured affordable housing facilities in Dover, held a “Spin with Kirsten” event, spoke at the New Hampshire Institute of Politics’ famous Politics & Eggs event, and won over voters wherever she went.

Here’s what voters and the press are saying:

Things that shouldn’t be said behind closed doors are now said in open settings.”

Campus sexual assault is a pervasive problem facing all of our colleges and universities, and U.S. Senator Gillibrand has been a true leader in the fight to create safer campuses across our country. At a time when most students who are sexually assaulted on their campus do not come forward and report the crime, we must be vigilant in our efforts to strengthen school policies, hold offenders accountable, and connect survivors to local support services. We look forward to connecting with all presidential candidates to discuss the realities currently facing victims of domestic and sexual violence.”
