In a world where news cycles last an estimated 45 seconds, you might have missed all of the *amazing* things Senator Kirsten Gillibrand has accomplished in the last two weeks. Here are some of the highlights:

May 22: Released her Family Bill of Rights

The resources and care available at the start of a child’s life have a crucial impact on their health, safety, development, and future success. But not every child starts on equal footing. Kirsten’s Family Bill of Rights will help close the gap — and she’ll make it a priority in her first 100 days as president.

Vicki Shabo, a senior fellow at the nonpartisan think tank New America, said Kirsten’s plan is the first to acknowledge how disparate factors like health care, paid leave, and quality child care are interconnected. Read more here:

May 23: Stood up for McDonald’s workers’ rights

Kirsten knows McDonald’s workers deserve better wages, they deserve the chance to unionize, and they deserve to work in an environment free from sexual harassment. Check out her statement of support here:

Kirsten even went as far as writing an op-ed in the Dallas Morning News the same day that McDonald’s shareholders were meeting in Dallas. Read it here.

May 22 — May 25: Traveled through Iowa

This weekend Kirsten traveled from 📍 Fort Dodge ➡ 📍 Iowa Falls➡ 📍 Mason City ➡ 📍 Charles City ➡ 📍 Waterloo to share her Family Bill of Rights with voters. Check out the highlights here:

May 28: Successfully soothed a fussy baby on a plane

Kirsten will never stop being a mom — and it’s honestly one of her greatest qualities.

May 29: Called for impeachment hearings

And rightfully so.

May 30: Was endorsed by NH State Representative Sue Ford

“Sen. Gillibrand will always fight for the silenced, marginalized, or ignored, and I know that as president she will amplify those voices as she builds on her record of standing up for what’s right and advocates for the issues that affect our children like education, climate change, and public safety.” — NH State Rep. Sue Ford

June 1: Released an LGBTQ Rights Agenda 🏳️‍🌈

The fight for LGBTQ equality didn’t end with marriage equality, and neither did Kirsten’s. Her LGBTQ rights agenda is the most comprehensive and thorough of any of the presidential candidates thus far. Read it here.

June 1: Made the case for National Paid Leave w/ MoveOn.org

Kirsten’s national paid family leave plan is a central piece of her Family Bill of Rights. Hear her remarks from MoveOn.org’s #BigIdeas Forum:

And paid leave advocates loved it:

June 2: Released her national public service plan

Kirsten released her agenda for national public service to provide a pathway to the middle class for all Americans and ensure that those who dedicate themselves to their communities are rewarded for their efforts. Read it here.

June 2: Held her ground and defended abortion access on Fox News

FACT: Kirsten will go anywhere, any time, to fight for our progressive values. And she proved it when she called out Fox News for their abortion coverage…during her Fox News town hall. 🔥🔥🔥

Reminding everyone that polite women rarely make history.

Let’s just say, it didn’t go unnoticed…

June 5: Released a plan to Legalize Marijuana

Kirsten’s plans to legalize marijuana at the federal level would create economic opportunities nationwide and is the strongest proposal for supporting those most affected by the racist policing of drug laws.

Industry leader and advocate, Wanda James, said:

What sets Kirsten Gillibrand’s marijuana legalization plan apart from the rest is that it’s built with economic equity in mind. Kirsten will take measures to ensure minority- and women-owned small businesses have access to the capital and technical assistance they need and is prioritizing communities disparately impacted by racist policing of drug laws.

Read her op-ed in Blavity here.

This list may be impressive, but I guarantee you that Kirsten Gillibrand is just getting started.

If these kinds of policies make you excited — if Kirsten makes you feel like you want to do something brave — then chip in $1 or more to her campaign. Kirsten needs 65,000 individual donors to secure her spot at the first Democratic debate. Help us close the gap and ensure this champion of progressive policy is on that stage. Chip in now:
