The 19th Annual Youth Leadership Conference on Asian Pacific Islander Health at Stanford will be August 4 to 7, 2021. This exciting conference will be held virtually and without any fees for 100 high school students selected for the program. All high school youth, including those entering high school in Fall 2021 or those who just graduated in Summer 2021 are eligible.

During the summer of 2019, I had the opportunity to attend this Youth Leadership Conference. It was an incredible 4 day experience collaborating with students from across the country and the globe on a campaign project of our own. We learned cost-effective ways to launch campaigns and spread awareness for Hepatitis B. It has been a great experience collaborating with a team just as passionate about advocacy for HBV. One of the highlights was hearing Dr. Samuel So who started the Join Jade global campaign to fight stigma, end transmission, and eliminate deaths associated with Hepatitis B. It was also interesting to listen to one of the founders of Boba Guys speak about the early years of their successful shop and participate in the fun social events.
