I really hate having to write about myself and what I do and why. I often feel that I don’t need to justify who I am and why I do things because it is just me. Am I in a the middle of a mid life crisis — I don’t know.

I have been since recently been a school teacher of music, physical education and mathematics for the past 30 years at various different high schools and I have loved helping kids learn and grown as they have helped me grow and learn as well.

I have always had this urge to keep learning and grow from what I learn which is probably why I have jumped into this new stage as I forge on to complete my Masters Degree in Interaction design — a few weeks to go.

A major part of my life has been about doing things for other people so it leads to why I have an interested in Human Computer Interaction and User Experience. The Computer part is a little scary but are essential skills that I had to learn and fast.

I have a wonderful and support family who are always there for me. Our two beautiful puppies keep me smiling every day and they show endless and unrequited love and affection no matter what.

I couldn’t do what I do without the support of my partner Peter. I am always happy to work with him and working on this challenge. We worked together to make the final in 2016 and it was an amazing experience.

It is always great to have the support of good friends and Awais has been a truly wonderful friend and reliable work partner. I look forward to this challenged with him.
