Last week we sent an email to every Kit user with an open account.

Here is what it said:

Hi,

My name is Jesse Lakes and I am a co-founder of Geniuslink. We’re a family-owned, bootstrapped intelligent link service, based out of Seattle. Earlier this week we finalized the acquisition of Kit, which is why I am emailing you about three things.

First, it’s awesome to meet you!

We have been long time fans of what you and your peers have done with Kit. So, when I heard through the grapevine that Kit was no longer going to be actively developed, my team and I wanted to jump in to help keep alive what we believe to be an amazing platform for creators like you! We wrote a blog post about this, which you can read here.

Second, I wanted to let you know what you should expect in the coming months.

Our engineering team has already started transitioning Kit onto our infrastructure to increase site speed and improve up-time, while our business team has begun to catch up on support for all of you. Please bear with us as we get up to speed — We’re a small team, but one that is super committed to helping fulfill Kit’s promise!

Then, once we have things under control, we’re looking to start building new and awesome features for Kit again.

Third, I have a question for you.

But, before I ask this next question, please understand that my wife (the COO of Geniuslink) and I are expecting our second daughter any day now. So, it might take me a bit to get back to you, but I promise to respond to every email!

Here is my question:

What is the one thing that you wish you could do with Kit that you cannot currently do?

Thank you in advance, I look forward to serving you!
-Jesse Lakes

PS — What is Geniuslink you ask? We are the ones powering those global affiliate links on Kit and for thousands of YouTubers, bloggers, authors and musicians across the internet.
