GM Kujirans! I know you’ve missed me ;) As you may have seen, I have been banned from Twitter for a week, so I’ll be incredibly careful what I say…

Onto the important stuff — honestly, it has been incredible to see the change in sentiment following the launch of BOW. What better way to answer the FUD than with our best dApp yet? Remember when Warren Buffet once said “invest in people, not businesses”? Well in my completely unbiased (kek) opinion, those of you reading right now have put your money in the right hands.

Anyway, let’s get into this week’s news. As always, these articles summarize all Kujira-related news over the last 7 days, keeping you up-to-date and informed.

If you’d like to be involved in the Weekly Roundup, please make sure to fill in this form with some ideas! Thanks guys.

BOW LAUNCH

The creme de la creme of Kujira. My personal favorite dApp. Give it up for the launch of BOW! In just 2 days, BOW has achieved over $1m in TVL, with the entire community coming together to provide value in the ecosystem.

Now that the bid/ask spreads have been tightened, FIN becomes a much more efficient decentralized exchange, competing with the best for trade execution. Furthermore, the APR on the BOW LPs will attract external capital to our ecosystem, forcing them to buy KUJI or USK to participate. You can see this taking effect already, with the USK supply at an ATH as users mint USK to provide liquidity.

More LPs will be added to BOW soon, with external incentives being provided by protocols that wish to encourage trading of their token on FIN. The explosion of LPs on BOW will be beautiful to watch. What an achievement from the boys this has been…

Finally, I’d like to draw your attention to the effect BOW has on price action. Below, you can see the KUJI<>USK pair on FIN. The BOW vault was instantiated on the 15th of November, ran until the 21st (on very little capital) before taking a break for just over a week and returning for private testing on the 29th.

As you can see, the price action is much healthier, with superior bid/ask spreads resulting in smaller wicks. This will be incredibly important once perpetual futures are introduced formally!

HARBOR AIRDROP FOR KUJI STAKERS

Harbor protocol just released a blog that details the $HARBOR airdrop allocation, calculation, eligibility criteria, and tutorial to claim the airdrop. Harbor protocol have very kindly included KUJI stakers in this airdrop, so be sure to check your allocation and claim your tokens!

CALC TEAM BACK TO WORK

Following the successful launch of CALC’s DCA strategies, the team are back on the keys to deliver more products. Using the Kujira team as inspiration, the CALC boys are determined to ship, and they have made a few advances this week:

  • Refining the roadmap
  • Completing technical spikes
  • Increasing capital efficiency for assets in DCA vaults
  • Something something BOW something

The team have also been involved in a few interviews recently — you can find a recording of their conversation with Just Crypto here. They will also be going live with Cosmos Hoss this Wednesday (December 6th), with the link being posted on Cosmos Hoss’ Twitter.

Finally, Fabrizio has something to tell you all:

“WE LOVE THE KUJIRA COMMUNITY!”

NEW GOVERNANCE PROPOSALS

THE SENATE UPDATE

Thank you to all The Senate applicants who have filled in the second form in due time, I really appreciate it. I have run into a slight delay regarding who will be hosting these spaces, given that the usual contenders are all running for The Senate themselves. I have already organized who will be speaking at each of the different Twitter Spaces, so once I have sorted a host I will be in contact with each of you to settle on a date. Thank you for your patience!

SEARCH FOR TOKEN DENOMS ON KUJIRA FINDER

As the subheading suggests, you can now search for specific token denominations on the Kujira Finder. This has a few novel uses:

  • Easy to check the origins of an IBC denom and the owner of a factory token. This is an excellent tool for verifying the token contracts that you interact with and therefore spotting scam tokens.
  • See all activity for a specific token. This is useful to track the inflow/outflow of specific tokens on Kujira e.t.c.

KUJI KAST CORNER

Guiding you through today's revelations, we have our messiah: Danny.

Reading. Southampton. Bournemouth. Oxford.

That is not a list of Man City’s route to a final, but rather the places I have been this week. Did karaoke at the end. Smashed it.

During my travels I have learned 3 things; I love football and Kujira.

Also, BOW is good right? Like really good. It feels like we’re constantly throwing madness out there into the space and there’s always gonna be jabronis not accepting great things as great. But that’s okay. Because as they say -

You can lead a horse to water. But you can’t make it swim.

But yeah. We can only be ignored for so long. Because Kujira is quality. And if you can’t see that by now then you’re just a piece of cheese without the corners. You’re never gonna be a slice.

From Kuji Kast.

Oh, I’m feeling something alright…

KUJIRANS COMPETITION AND GAME DEV

I spoke with Velcro from Kujirans NFT this week, and he updated me on the progress the team has made. Whilst they are heads-down building the game tied to the KUJIRANS, he reminded me that they are currently holding a competition.

For the whole month of December, any Stargaze wallet that mints any of the 39 ORCAs left will be airdropped 4 extra KUJIRANS! Be sure to mint some on Stargaze now.

Tis’ the season for giving!

STATS FOR THE WEEK

  • Nakamoto coefficient up to 9
  • USK mint/supply at ATH (over 400k)
  • Total KUJI staked at ATH (over 55m)
  • Total transactions on Kujira blockchain now over 40 million
  • Total unique wallets over 40,000
  • Liquid supply of KUJI under 30m

Special thank you to Eskers for his continue help with this series.

CLOSING THOUGHTS

Thank you for joining me for another episode of the Weekly Roundup, your support is always appreciated. I have had a look through your responses to the form last week and there were a few interesting ideas to be included next week. These include:

  • A section for validators to contribute. The synergy and love shared between our validators is incredible to see, and they play an important part in our community. I will be in contact soon to discuss this!
  • Details on BOW (can see an article we released here)
  • POD equalization benefits/validator scores. This is an interesting one that ATLO have put some work into previously, so I’ll have a chat with the boys over there and see what we can put out!

Your responses were great, and I look forward to hearing what you have to say this week. Cheers!
