Moment of Pride
We are a startup company that focuses on providing real-time tracking solutions for Schools. There are few moments in time that make us realise the impact of the application we have been working on for the past one and a half year.
One of such moments came on 15th December when our very first client, Vimal Travels, contractor of Sri Ma Vidyalaya School, Thane called us for an urgent meeting with the School Principal and Trustee.
What had happened..
Sri Ma Vidyalaya had sent their students for a field trip. On the day of the field trip, a few of the buses were supposed to arrive at 4 o’ clock in the evening but hadn’t shown up. The principal and the bus authorities were a little concerned about the whereabouts of the bus so they came back to school after their regular work hours to make sure the students are safely back home.
When they arrived at the school, they noticed that none of the parents had contacted the school to enquire against the untimely delay. So the principal called the contractor to understand what was going on. Mr. Avdhesh the manager of Vimal Travels for the school said “Tracking laga hai na aap tension mat lo”. She was confused and decided to call a few of the parents regarding this situation. As it turned out to principal’s surprise, the parents were using the app to track their bus in real time and knew exactly how far the bus was from their destination and hence they were not worried. The parents even reported to be using the app on an everyday basis and have started to become dependent on it, checking the app every day to time their arrival and departures.
The Meeting
Mr. Rajan, hon.secretary of Sri Ma Vidyalaya had actually called us to know more about our system and the team. He had a proposal for us where we could be their national partners in all the schools belonging to the Sri Ma Trust. He was most impressed by the parents reaction when asked about the consistency and this was one of the major reasons he wanted to meet us in person. He downloaded the app and used it himself before even contacting us.
Takeaways
Our focus on the product and rigorous testing and continuous feedback from the parents has enabled us to provide a service that Parents love and rely upon. Happy customers are the biggest catalyst for growth.
It’s little moments like these that drive our team to create better products and solutions that help achieve order in this chaotic world.
