Twitch recently switched over to their new API and deprecated their old version. The new API uses User IDs to track users and no longer uses usernames.

In the next week, Revlo will implement changes to accommodate this. Here is a list of our user groups and the changes that will be made.

For streamers who have changed their username, we will revert your account back to the state it was in when you changed your username. All points earned by fans, rewards redeemed, and settings changed since your name change will be gone. There won’t be a need to award bonus points to fans who have changed their username, we will give back their points as outlined below.

For fans who have signed up for a Revlo account and changed their username, we will revert your points and settings back to the state they were in when you changed your username.

For fans who have not signed up for a Revlo account and have changed their username after February 26th, 12 pm PST, we will revert your points and settings back to the state they were in when you changed your username.

For fans who have not signed up for a Revlo account and have changed their name before February 26th, 12 pm PST, the points on your previous account are lost. Since you have not logged into Revlo before, we cannot verify your identity for your previous account.

All changes will be completed on March 2nd. After we have made the change, you will need to re-login or wait 12–24 hours before you see the change on your account. We still advise against changing your account name unless it is 100% necessary until March 2nd.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to send alex@revlo.co a question!
