Week 13: Decisions? How About More Visions?

With the end of the semester quickly approaching things have been ramping up around the offices of Team Current. For weeks now we’ve been trying to decide whether to focus on making an exhibit or larger holistic museum experience changes. Did we finally make a decision? If you’re familiar with Betteridge’s Law of Headlines you likely already know the answer... Anyway, away we go!

In our first meeting of the week, we revisited our reverse affinity model by finishing our groupings and consolidating the positive and negative cards into single columns. Then we did the more traditional walking of the wall where we all walked up and down our diagram silently and added design ideas, considerations, and questions.

After that, we discussed whether it was time to narrow our problem space down to either an exhibit or a larger experience. We decided that it wasn’t a decision that we needed to make and that we could present both kinds of ideas to our clients in a couple of weeks.

We used the new notes and insights we generated to help us focus our visioning exercises later in the week. We brainstormed in the experience space and then did an exercise that forced us to choose the ideas we liked the best individually and how they overlapped with what the rest of the group thought.

We’ll be continuing ahead with more visioning next week!
