The Uranian and Neptunian systems have not yet been well studied: all the data and images we have of them are from the decades old Voyager missions.
What we do know is that Oberon is one of the densest Moons, and is the 9th most massive Moon in our solar system. It is named after the Shakespearean character from A Midsummer Night’s Dream. It consists of a rocky core and an icy mantle, with probably liquid water separating them.
The Moon was discovered by William Herschel in 1787. It is a tidally locked Moon and orbits with one side always facing the planet.
