5 things you need to do before you ditch planet Earth and book a spot on our spacecraft to the Moon
TeamIndus is going to land on the Moon next year and there is some extra payload space that we are looking to fill. If you’re looking to get a ride off planet Earth, the best option for many of you folks may be to hitch a ride with us to Earth’s celestial neighbour. Here are five things you must do before applying.
TIME
If you thought it would be long days for the next four days in your part of the world, get ready for the 14-earth day long Lunar day. By the way, to keep tabs on time, you may need to junk your Omega watch (It’s so 1969!)
GO SHOPPING
Your closet needs a complete overhaul. H&M and Old Navy don’t really hold the latest in lunar fashion and you may need to look elsewhere. We hear they have some in stock in Cape Canaveral.
FIND AN UMBRELLA
We mean a really, really good one. Moon is constantly bombarded by space rocks in all sizes and having a really good Umbrella might just help you escape a bump in the shape of the Moon on your head.
START WORKING OUT
This is probably there in your new year resolution every year, but it is time you started making use of that gym membership you renewed last January. Long term effect of reduced gravity include decrease in muscle mass and you may need to pump some iron and get a six pack going if you want to go looney for good.
STOP EATING GOOD FOOD
Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin had to make do with freeze-dried packaged food and had a mix that became an orange-grapefruit drink when water was added. Little has changed in the Lunar menu and you better get your tastebuds accustomed to bland food.
