It’s time to stand up and reject hate
Take the pledge today
This month, we’re doing something a little different here at Team Kaine HQ.
August 11th and 12th will mark one year since white supremacists brought their hate and anger right here to Virginia. And while the tragic events of Charlottesville took place a year ago, they’re certainly not behind us. Similar groups continue to plan dangerous events and demonstrations, and we must remain clear: Virginia will never stand with hatred.
We wanted to take time this month to do some reflecting and work towards a goal that would prove our state — and our nation — is no place for hate. It is with this in mind that Tim Kaine came up with an idea to use our campaign’s online grassroots power to stand strong against division.
So we’re starting August off with our digital Pledge to Reject Hate, and a goal: 100,000 people pledging to stand against hate in their community.
This pledge is something that’s bigger than just this campaign — it’s about who we are as a Commonwealth and a country.
100,000 people across Virginia and the nation pledging to stand up against hate whenever they see it sends a message that together, we will never, ever stop fighting for a fairer, safer, more inclusive America.
