Happy New Year to all our Samepage customers and partners. 2016 is shaping up to be an exciting year for Samepage. One of my resolutions is to devote more time to sharing our product vision for Samepage with all of you. This is the first in a series of posts from me that will coincide with significant Samepage product milestones.

Today we are launching Samepage Chat — you are now able to conduct 1-to-1 live chats with members of your internal Samepage team. There’s no longer any need to jump out of Samepage to IM or text someone for that last piece of info to complete your event plan or product release notes. Now you can stay in Samepage, with all your project files, notes, comments, and images and have instant access to your fellow team members. We feel this is a revolutionary step forward for Samepage and for our customers’ productivity. Samepage Chat brings a live, real-time aspect to what is already the world’s best collaboration platform.

Samepage Chat is available to all Samepage customers, Free or Pro, immediately.

As someone who’s been CEO, and now Executive Chairman, of an email company for more than ten years, I’ve always been passionate about bringing the power of messaging to Samepage. In thinking about how to do that, we realized that the world of messaging has changed dramatically in the last few years. Messaging is no longer centered on the old email/personal computer model. Per Mary Meeker’s 2015 Internet Trends report, six out of the top 10 globally most-used apps are messaging apps. Facebook Messenger, WeChat, WhatsApp and even Twitter let us communicate 1-to-1, in real-time from phones, tablets, laptops, or even smartwatches. And that’s the direction we took in creating Samepage Chat.
