The Key to Teamwork is Effectiveness
In the past years, one thing has become much more common in the workplace. Teamwork. The workplace is becoming less about what I can do on my own, but more about what we can do together. We can get more accomplished when we do things as team. Not only can we get more done, but what we do will be more effective and better.
Over the course of my next few blog posts, I am going to talk about one large soft skill, teamwork, and how it is made up of many smaller soft skills. I am going to talk about how these smaller soft skills make up one of the most important skills we need now and days, being a good team player.

A graph from, hookco.com shows how working in a team can increase output. The key to teamwork is to be effective, as the graph shows an ineffective team is useless and actually hinders the amount of work done. It is clear that working in teams is the best option, we just need to learn how to do it.
My philosophy of work is that we should be working to benefit those around us and ourselves on a level higher than money. By working in teams, we are expanding what we know onto others and visa versa. Everyone is growing together while working together. Teamwork interests me because growing up I was always taught in school that everything should always be done on your own and needs to be your own work. Now that I am in college, group work is emphasized to help teach you how to work in teams for the future.
I want to learn about how we can maximize teamwork, how we can make something that is intended to create a better outcome, the best outcome. I can really learn how to be a better team member by observing others. I can learn how to work in teams and then adapt this to my own life. I can practice working in a team outside of the classroom and in my everyday life.
