Apple’s WWDC gave us a glimpse of the future: their Vision Pro XR headset aims to *disrupt sports.* Here are 4 changes ahead and how you can take advantage of new tech to accelerate your career in sports business 👇

📸 Immersive Viewing — With Apple’s growing library of sports content (exclusive streaming for MLS, MLB and potential bids for the Premier League, Pac-12, NBA), on-court views could become a feature of at-home viewing.

📈 Seamless Analytics — XR (“extended reality”) enables providers to display stats and betting info in spaces surrounding the primary feed, offering a new canvas for Data Scientists and Betting Analysts to share actionable insights.

🎮 Interactive Gaming — XR gaming allows leagues to unlock new connections with fans, e.g., EA SPORTS’s VR experience in “F1 22” can deepen the sports relationship with the 99% of fans who have never attended a Formula 1 race.

📲 New Apps — New platforms could help catalyze a broader ecosystem of XR apps. Apple’s $3,499 price point (on sale next year) could also leave the door open for lower-cost alternatives to meet consumer needs as well.

Put yourself in position to *lead through disruption.*

Here’s more good news: Vision Pro is just one of many announcements of new tech disrupting sports. Here are just a few…

- Hawk-Eye Innovations Ltd signed a multiyear agreement with the NBA to deploy 3D optical tracking technology in venues.
- Meta’s Oculus VR had a large presence at the NBA All-Star game, showing the potential to sell “courtside” tickets via VR.
- Zoomph announced Series A funding to build their platform to measure sponsorships and partnerships.
